atomare: MY Freedom

The 42m motor yacht "Freedom" offers space for up to ten guests and twelve crew members on its four decks. The hulldeck houses a full beam owners stateroom and four generous guest suites, as well as a spacious Spa and gymnasium. The maindeck offers a luxurious lounge and dining area as well as space for various day and nighttime leisure activity. The top deck features a sunlounge in close relation to the wheelhouse. A hot tub can be found under the retractable sunroof on the outside deck. The crew quarters are located on the lowerdeck along with the engineroom and a garage for two tenders and the watertoys. Please dont be shy and comment on the design, any criticism or comment is welcome ;) ... Thanks.

      OK, Well.
First of all, I would rake the stem to about 30 degress and make it a straight line. The convex curviture of the stem makes the boat look too "stubby". Second, remove the first three portlights (looking from the stem to the stern) and remove all portlight below that line as well (below the spray line) . Third, take the flange off of the sheer line. Finally, the section above the first deck sallon need to terminate into the superstructure. You could leave it like it is if you put a door exiting to that area in the upper Salon Wall, just behind the windscreen(second tier). Change the Hull color to deep dark blue. Cut off that third deck behind the Radar.

After all that, I like it.

      Dear RR2,
thanks for your comment... as for the portlights, from the outside I usually also would like to have none at all, while I am designing, but on the inside daylight and a view of the ocean are more than desirable and I think that also crew members deserve that ;) (the lower portholes).
There is actually a door right in front of the ships name on the upper deck, (it doesn't show that well in the small resolution image...) leading into a staircase on the portside and directly into the upperdeck lounge/ wheelhouse on the starboard. The 'third deck' is actually a retractable sunroof, that can slide in and out. The two side beams run into the roofstructure, while the cloth is rolled up in the horizontal casing above the glass doors.

As for the color, every owner can choose his or her favorite tone :).
