2.0 metre mono-ski

The patent drawing was filed in 2011, though my advice to a younger self would be do something useful with life instead. With the appearance of drones however there is an opportunity to alter the paradigm in the construction of fast watercraft. With a single motor a rudder is required to offset the torque, although the benefit of a rudder that is underslung is that it induces roll in the same sense as the yaw; the addition of elevons provides control in all three axes during unintentional departures from the surface meanwhile. At half the weight of the catamaran a single motor is feasible, and inboard control surfaces allow it to be stored upright in a corner to occupy only a couple of square feet. It won't be subbing for the catamaran for initial testing however, multi-skis being easier to deploy and operate.
