      Do you tig on the strakes after you plate the hull, or what???

      Thanks for your comments: All the plate is 5083 marine grade with 6060 / 6061
      Extrusions.
      The boat in the photo was built in 2002 and the only welder I had back then was a WIA CDT pluse using 1.2 mm wire so the short answer is no we Mig welded the strakes to the shell later.
      These days we use a Delta pad bottom and no strakes gives better Nm per gallon at all speeds and is less work. Cheers Specmar.Aus
