Fin-powered vessels have been developed throughout the last century,
but never reached satisfactory efficiency with artificial fins. The
newly patented Fin-Ray-Effect uses pressure distribution, similar to
actual fish fins, enables this fin-powered speedboat to turn 86 % of
spent energy into thrust, rather than the 70 % common with most
propellers. Its four fins guarantee a very powerful but silent,
wave-reducing speedboat ride.
This model was introduced at the Hannover Industry Fair April 2004,
department `BIONIC´.
