If he loves his family and what he does - treat him well...
Men who love what they do and men who have purpose are money to you - at the end of the day...
The fact that you have a guy working for you who smiles - is money for you and it is a reflection of his working conditions - which again is a reflection on you...
Looks like you are doing a very good job - all around - cheers...

Thanks for input Sean.This particular chap is actually singing while working.
The boatbuilding trade is actually of a special nature here in Eastern Europe.There was not mucht recreational sailing going on into the internal market, practically all our boats were built for export.Fine boatbuilding trade was practically dead ten years ago, no trained craftsmen available.
What I did was train plain carpenters for boatbuilding.
Some of them do indeed appreciate the proffesional upgrading:-)
