I developed the boat totally by eye. I was given stations and spacing,(not a single fullsize drawing was produced before construction, all asbuilts of my mod) none worked and all were heavily modified. The boat started as a 32 ft sportboat, which was sooned altered significantly. The boat in the photo became the Cape Fear 38 after I sold the rights to the boat owner and created Cape Fear Yachtworks for him. A company with no history and no builder as I am still operating under Peter Ross Yachts in Rhode Island. The boat was built in North Carolina and I believe is no longer in production. If you are interested in this type of boat contact me and we can talk. I do still have my altered drawings of the boat and can reproduce it in a short time. The Cape Fear 38 suffers from too much cabin, poor keel and terrible rig. It is a performance hull dulled by production and ultra heavy liners. Hull#1 was built from over the hard male plug, inside laminate, core(faired to reduce putty) and outter skin. All furniture was structure and the boat was tabbed for heavy offshore use. Not a single liner in the hull at the time of my departure. www.prossyachts.com
