This is a 3-D rendering done by Doug Barnard of a steel Brent Swain 40 footer. There are now two of these hulls built to the new design, and I hope to start work on one of my own soon. The unique features of the building process will allow myself and the designer Brent Swain to pull the basic steel hull together in about two weeks. Dear Moose Island Design, please indicate on which engineering principles and what specific research about these boats that you base your opinion on. Your statement is a little sparse on facts and could use a little "fleshing out". Then we can have a proper discourse about your statement.
