another lovely one ;-) I guess that would go also with the fin-keel hull?

So, the halyard lifts the topsail that then raises the main and there is another one (like a topping lift)for the gaff?

In that case, would you reef the main before you take in the topsail?

Advantages? ... better setting and less turbulences for the topsail?
