It's not racing and it's not carbon and not wood, but it's certainly about water and definitely about spectacular and efficient engineering. Built in the spirit of Brunel, the new Falkirk Wheel links two major Victorian canals. Rotation takes seven minutes and each cycle uses about the power of two boils of a kettle...
That is a hall of engeneeringwork and I deeply adore it.

For the first American comment in the american vernacular: This kicks some serious engineering *** !!! As an inventor, I'm always impressed more by raw design prowess instead of new ideas that rely on new, current technology - i.e. - this could have been done fifty years ago.
