A simple CAD-model of the MTU 16V2000 diesel engine plus brochures. Just the right model for 3D-modelling in shipbuilding.

From my point of view it is the best solution to pack all diffent files into a .zip file so that you have all necessary information available by one click.

Do you agree???

as i'm not a pro i'll ask what program opens *.sat and *.stp files?

isnt 2 mb a bit big in polygons that could be reduced with mapping?

otherwise good work and initiative!

.stp could be open with Rhino. Go to file-import and select the .stp format.

.stp could be open by most CAD-systems from Rhino, Catia, Pro/E, Unigraphics, SolidWorks........ usw.

.sat could be open with AutoCAD. Go to insert, then select Acis, file. But it only works up to Acis (Version 4.0).

Sorry in this case I missed to downgrade the .sat version so that AutoCAD is not able to import the file. Normally I check it always.

2MB is a small file for such complex engine. Mapping is not important for CAD-Systems.

Hi Jeff,

how can I upload a revised .zip file without deleting the photo and changing the thumbnail?
