Milton Thrasher: Irwin 23 5' mast extension mast head

The original masthead was able to be used on the extension even though it was somewhat smaller in cross section. The cheek block and extra pulley shown are for the adjustable topping lift and for a flag halyard. The mast extension provides an option higher attachment point for an oversized spinnaker.
