The original bowsprit on this Taiwan-built sailboat was fabricated of teak and a holly look-alike. The fake holly--we think it was fir--rotted and required a whole new sprit.

We laminated the new 7' bowsprit entirely of Burmese teak, cut and shaped it to its finished dimensions, and installed the finished piece in exactly the same position as the original. The owners reinstalled the sprit platform and completed all the rigging themselves.

We've built other bowsprits, of course, including one that measured 12' overall.
