Ballast slides inside sealed wing and moves simultaneously as wing moves. Ballast moves faster than a crew on a trapeze can when speed is required.

I think you are going to have two problems with this construction as it can be seen now:

- the extension will pull aside the boat as it touches the water at speed;

- the bow will force itself under the surface (like more conventionally designed wave piercing hulls experiencing the phenomenon, when sailed in intense wind) the flat bottom will make this effect even worse.

By the way, it is a so far nicely built model, good luck with it!

You know, the concept has been tested on several models for over ten years and no evidence of pulling to one side if wing touched the water-which it rarely did.

The full size boat will use "foil assist" as shown in the picture to augment pitch control. Both the WING and crew can slide F& A.

I think it will sail well and be fast and easily handled but the Prototype will prove or disprove that.
