Corinthian Catamarans has been building commercial fiberglass catamarans for over 25 years. Charles Neville Associates has been designing their boats for most of that time. To date our office has worked with them on the design and construction of over 100 vessels between 30 and 100 feet.
The vessel shown, Bay Spirit II, is the flagship of the Florida Bay Aquarium in Tampa Florida. Capable of carrying 149 passengers plus additional crew, this US Coast Guard approved vessel was delivered earlier this year. Its mission is to provide Ecotours for visitors to Florida Aquarium’s world class complex at the top of Tampa Bay.
Built by Corinthian Catamarans, LLC Bay Spirit II is the eleventh boat built in this series. Most have been dedicated to small passenger service in the US and the Caribbean. That said their missions have been diverse. Within the last year alone, deliveries have included the boat shown as well as a commercial vessel equipped with two 45-foot long digital signboards. That boat, SeaBoard, plies the coast off Ocean City, Maryland providing an advertising outlet for local merchants. That Corinthian Cat, a high tech version of planes pulling banners, works for her keep.
