The Neville Tug 45 is a steel and aluminum recreational tug yacht design. The full displacement hull features a single hard chine, A bow thruster and large commercial style plate rudder are also provided. Alternately a steerable stern nozzle can be fitted as an option. The aluminum deckhouse is fully welded to the steel deck with Detacouple isolation strips manufactured by Dynamic Materials Corporation. Additional on deck features include substantial rail work, a robust anchor system and windlass, a RIB and deck crane.

The rugged exterior of the Tug 45 belies a fine yacht interior inside. While images of the solon show a traditional cherry interior other woods are certainly an option. The salon is spacious with a “U” shaped galley forward and settee and comfortable chair aft. The pilothouse has room for helm chair as well as a settee. That settee converts, to a sleeping berth. Below decks there is a large owner stateroom with centerline berth. A utility and laundry room is located on the port side with access to the engine room. On the starboard side is a second stateroom / office.

The machinery for the boat includes a single John Deere engine and Lugger generator. The other systems including AC, refrigeration etc. Bow thruster, and deck crane are hydraulic. Additional hydraulic capability and an installation point for active fin stabilizers is also standard.
