I saw James’s post on sail in the San Juan’s and thought I would add that there are some great paddling opportunities on the sound as well. This is the mud flats at the north end of Port Susan at low tide. The Stillaguamish river ends here. I’m amazed how often this large body of water is this flat and how few paddlers there are.
