Tanton Senior Member Registered: November 2003 Location: Newport RI Posts: 439	On a small boat, there is more room to gain by going wider rather than longer. The maximum beam allowed by the 950 rule, gives a spacious interior. I have opted for a lifting keel, but a fixed fin-keel is also available.
