DESIGNINDUSTRIA Senior Member Registered: March 2006 Location: Serbia Posts: 230	WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS PROJECT MORE THAN 6 MONTHS. WHEN WE WERE ABOUT TO FINISH, MR. KALAFATOGLU FROM ARES-YACHTS TURKEY, WHO WAS BY THE WAY VERY SATISFIED WITH OUR DESIGN, DECIDED TO GIVE UP THE WHOLE PROJECT. WE NEVER GOT PAID!!! NOT A WORD FROM HIM ANYMORE. HE WORKS NOW WITH SOME OTHER DESIGNER. HOPE AT LEAST HE'LL GET PAID FOR HIS WORK. SO, FREELANCE BOAT DESIGNERS AND NAVAL ARCHITECTS, BE AWARE!!!

Hi! Nice as always!

I would never touch a pencil without deposit, and make customer pre-pay all stages...

yes unfortunatly it heppends. Also the project firm i am working with had problems with some turkish customer. The same situation- to take the project without paying. So never more to work without prepay, even if not all customers are ready to give it.
