Water ballasted, trailerable small-boat.
The ballat system is, keeping with the design philosophy, simple and easy to use. When the boat is launched, the ballast valve (under the cockit steps) is left closed tp provide a minimum draft for shallow launching ramps. Once in deep enough water, the valve is opened to let the 1000 lbs. of water ballast in, and sink the boat to its normal operating draft. When the tank is full, the valve is closed ,and off you go. Pulling the boat out; open the ballast valve before putting the boat on the trailer. Water will drain out in a few minutes. |
