Divertente sail-boat concept 2008
(Tero Saari, Lasse Oiva , Franziska Sammler)
This is a project made on a boat design course at Lahti Institute of design in Finland. It is a 42-feet daycruiser with features such as lifting deck/roof and excentric mast. Main focus was to give the user as much free deck-space as possible. The boat was modelled with Rhinoceros 4 and rendered with v-ray. Little photoshopping happened also for the presentation pictures

Yo,

An interesting rig concept!

Would the eccentric/offset mast work without a stay on the port side? I'd imagine that the rig loading on a port tack would be problematic.

Ten points for exploring ideas however!

Cool,

Nate.
