Designed and built at Pembrokeshire College’s MITEC Centre at Milford Haven by students on the BSc course in Sail & Powerboat Studies, this is a collaborative project with the Owen Clarke Design Group. The yacht has been built using advanced composites techniques utilising glass, carbon fibre and epoxy resins. Classe Mini is a development class with very few limitations; the brief has been to produce a lightweight structure that is strong, durable and fast. Yachts in this class compete biennially in the Mini Transat event sailed single-handed from France to South America or the Caribbean.

Was Mark Mills involved in the design of this boat or any other open class racer?

A very striking image combining the epic grandeur of the classical sculpture with the high-tec graphic-design of the boat - especially effective as it is poised as though floating in the air.
With your permission I shall borrow this image for my desktop. (I do not take the harvesting of other's work as a given)
