I cannot understand why FRP remains a choice material amongst custom and semi custom builders - unless you are pulling parts from molds it remains the least cost effective and cost recovery material to build in...
Aluminum - cut out your part - cut the largest rectangle out or of any scrap - recycle your flashing - always recovering cost and rolling over the material...
Wood - well - you can burn it for heat and steam - then sell the ash to explosive or other manufacturers - or get drunk and whittle marshmallow sticks - ...
The sound of the water from an inside berth against 1/2 inch wood planking versus a bit of drumming plastic is a real selling point - something that is comfortably human...
