Very simple and apparent low tech but nice crafmanship, it would work with a marinised small car engine Nissan, or diesel. With a ratio of 3/1 and a big propeller you have a big torque pusher.
I think it is designed for fishermen.

Yes, we would like fisherman to use this design instead of an outboard engines. In Malaysia they would save more than 50% fuel costs.
We are trying to set up a marinising workshop for Nissan, Toyota, Issuzu, Yanmar and Kubota truck engines. In the range between 20 and 60 hp. We have still some problems with gearboxes ratio 3:1. Is there any good way to convert an car/truck gearbox for boat use?
