Wooden Dinghy in Composite I am in a search for candidate dinghy and/or pram to build in composite. I'd like to vacuum infuse with e-glass and finish in mahogany and varnished woods for the interior. I would love suggestions for designs to take from wood to glass. Cheers, Clint

There are so many good looking dinghies, this is one I like: http://www.northbayboatworks.com/Boa...erreshoff.html The Herreshoff 11 feet or 11.5 feet..

The Columbia Dinghy is a good idea. They designed and built some 8' ers too, but access is tricky through MIT and being able to produce their boats in composite may be frowned upon. Cheers, Clint

Clinton, if you buy a set of plans, they can't do much if you elect to build with a different method. Now they can give you a hard time if you start using the Herreshoff name, but money will solve that issue too. I have a few different dinghy plans that would make good prospects for you. Drop me an email.
