Wooden Boat Show - Outrigger Canoe

I went to the wooden boat show this afternoon in Newport, RI. There's a new company that sells kits for an outrigger canoe. Its a really neat design with tortured plywood instead of s & g. Its really long but super lightweight, which suprised me. I already have done a few kits from CLC and this sounds like a fun new project. Has anyone worked on this yet?

Interesting concept, for sure. Never seen one around here (then again, we Ontarians are staunchly traditional about our canoes). It definitely does look fun, although I'm not sure it would be as practical as some of the more conventional canoes and kayaks.... although it does look more comfortable than many sea kayaks.
