Through hull's...... on a rebuild.

I am preping my replanked hull to glass. I have rebated around the Rudder and prop tubes and layed up with continuous rovings leaving a channel for a flexible sealant between the epoxy and the fitting. What is the best sealant to use? I will glass over the whole lot to protect the "sealant O ring".

Seems like Sika 291 is the appropriate animal here. I want to glass over it for
protection. Just one layer of 30oz triaxial. Any reasons not to?
