Shannon One-design wooden sailboat

If anyone has 30min to spare here is a programme from the 80s showing the construction of the very pretty shannon one-design 18ft sail boat. the craftsmanship is impressive. I especially like the curved brass plane for shaping the mast.

I watched those videos and really enjoyed them. Where could I get more info on the sod? I would like to build one with my two sons but need insight. Thanks for the links!
