runabout made out of firewood

The is so much fun for me to work on old boats, I cant let it be.
The last joke I am actually working on is a 5,4 m boat pure mahagony in a dirty ugly outfit.
The "boat" was cleaned an shortend to 4,2 m with a smal 40 cm extra platform possibility at the end. If too ugly I can cut it of later.
A Lada engine of 75 hp can come under the front deck.
Have fun with the pics.

One quick note, if you chop of the aft portions of the bottom, the boat will steer very badly.

In what condition? Before ignition or during combustion?

Either. Boats perform fairly well during the early portions of the fire anyway (this is experience speaking now). Without considerable reinforcement that bottom section, behind the new transom, will snap off fairly easily. That area of the hull, especially the chines really need to remain on the boat, if good handling is expected.

We once at a "easter fire" tried to burn a old "Ewer" called freight sailing ship (much like a Dutch flat bottom Tjalk). She was on the hard for more than ten years already. But although we had about 5 tonnes of old christmas trees for ignition and several "gallons" of Diesel, we hardly made the planks black.

No Firewood it is a F Tars Boat 60 years old. The firewood should run better than the Tars.(So we hope) V bottom long keel and 40 cm "trimplate" at the back
