After the holiday (2005), took all the chrome off, by taking the chrome off we saw the number 444 in all the chrome,
so it isnt number 401 but 444.

Brought the boat to a friend of the EWBC http://www.e-w-b-c.eu/ who restores boats in his spare time.. !!

Even some ribs had to be remove because they were to rotten.

After placing new ribs, plating the deck with 12mm triplex, and at the back with 18mm Mahogany multiplex.

After that, we turn the boat to prepare the bottomside. Take all the paint off with sandpaper and pickling. And make the pickling work better with putting plastic on it so it can't "breathe".

Give it a epoxy layer, with glassfiber blanket under it. And finish it with a few layers of pantserlack.

Took the boat to another place, turn it back and go on with the massive topwood. Drill the screwholes fasten it with screws and special kit, phrasing inbetween the dark wood. Then place the ramin light strokes in, and make a plane surface wish an abrade.

Then fill the screwholes with special wooden bungs

All holes filled and ready to smoothen the surface with sandpaper.

All smooth and ready for the 8 layers of original yachtlack.

Putting lack on the boat makes a whole lot of a difference.

Two layers of lack on the boat, and he's ready to take him from John his workshop (Eindhoven) closer to my house (The Hague) for the rest of the painting and finishing touch.

John, the man who did most of the woodwork next to my packed boat, ready to take him home.

Primering the inside and In total 10 layers of original Ruwa yachtlack on the outside.

Finishing it with a polish.

The boat in front of my house, and I brought the chrome to the chromery and see the results.
I did get the most of my new chromework from Woodenclassics http://www.woodenclassics.nl/
