| need plan I want to build a small sail boat and am looking for a plan for stitch and glue. Something basic, a pram with a sprit sail. Thanks for you help  |

| The Nutshell pram, by Joel White, comes in two sizes, 7 ft, and 9 ft (approx). Plans are available through WoodenBoat Publications. This is a multi-chine design. Even simpler would be a skiff, but any small boat is going to be pretty simple. I would go with something like the larger Nutshell, which wouldn't cost much more, would be the same labor, and would carry more weight by far. The value of the seven foot model would be in it's smallness----- to serve as a tender, and for kids to train in. Alan |
