Jon Boats - Those damned things again.

Just a simple question really.

Before I go off and buy a set of plans from somewhere like Uncle John etc, are there any free Jon Boat plans out there, I'd hate to shell out on what is planned to be THE cheapy boat and then find I could have had free.

(Not that I'm a cheapskate or anything).

My plans are for 5 metres (approx 15 feet long) between 40 and 50 inch wide, and as it's for getntle river pottering probably a sampan style canopy over the top of part of it, for lazy reading, or sheltering in if it rains.

Thanks

Thanks, those look like good inspiration, I think reading them, the build up guide on Uncle Johns and sundry other bots should be enough. It doesn't HAVE to be perfect, a bit rough and ready looking suits me fine (Mind you I'll probably end up striving for perfection).

Next stop the wood yard, and get some betteries for my camera too.
