How to stain decks with white stripes?

Yes, I seen and built and repaired the holly, teak/mahogany/cherry/etc. sole concoctions over the years. These are generally for those that have more money then they can usefully spend in a single life time. Most that "use" their crafts rather then show them, install practical deck and sole products and build methods. These are the types that have to be "lived" with, so they have the logic of many years and miles under them.

I don't who was the first to use white caulk for his deck seams, but it was likely a builder on a deadline, with only white available and the style stuck, but the deck was a caulked deck.

We use Canadian maple on our mahogany decks and burnt Canadian maple on our teak decks. Have the maple cut at the same time as our mahogany or teak to the same thickness and height. Not had a problem with our procedure - we also do not stain our wood, use the colour nature provided. Also used epoxy in the past with no problems depends on what the client wants. Been doing it for 30 years.
