Hartley Boats - Yahoo group

Trying out a group area for Hartley Boat owners
These boats have been around since the 1930's and I think there needs to be some recognition from an historical perspective and a common place for owners and would be builders to come together..

Maybe someone can suggest an alternative? Maybe even a section within this forum ???

Any time a few people are interested, we would be very happy to add a forum here.

Would anyone else be interested in such a forum?

Hartley boat group

Hi Jeff
Had one already logged into the Yahoo group, a couple of others interested but worried about email spam from those sorts of groups. I'd prefer something well known and confidence of users. Maybe one day there might be enough interest here? Have come across quite a few people looking for info on repair, modifications etc to encourage me to try and get some form of service up and running.

Hi Aberdeen,

I had a browse on the net and couldn't find anything. Maybe someone else will have better luck or insight.

But it is a really great idea - as you say - there are so many of them out there and they are historically important.

If a Richard Hartley hadn't been born it would have been necessary to invent one.

Perhaps you could put a website together yourself? It is not too much harder than writing a wordprocessor document these days.

Michael

I have set up a trial at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hartley_boats/

Will see what interest comes of that one, although getting it known could take a long time.
