Fuel Tank Design Considerations

Hi All am Newb and just posted a similar thread in propulsion "doh" . Am rebuilding a 6metre Hartley and want to put the fuel tank between the new stringers im fitting and have limited depth . Would I have problems with a tank 110mm x 500mm x 2400mm , is this too shallow ? Thanks Garfy
