Folkboat This year I bought folkboat made in Finland from 1965. The boat has the leaking hull and I must restore the hull. Can someone give me the information and advice how to stop this leaking. Should I put something between the planks? Cheers

Folkboat Fabulous boat Ruusa. A true classic, sturdy and forgiving. Had one for many years. However without more information - where is she leaking, when, and how much it's difficult to answer. Has she been allowed to 'dry out' - in which case a good soaking should swell the timbers back into shape. Or could be the fastenings are badly worn and need replacing (a long job - but worthwhile). A bit more information - and pictures if possible and you'll find the answers and potential cures (excuse the pun) come 'flooding in'. Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Thank you for your reply.. She is leaking along the hull, especially during sailing. I intend to replace the fastening but I don't know if I should put something between the planks to seal it tightly. She was in water and is not dry. The planks are in good condition.
