flat-pack plywood kit? I saw this article on Duckworks this morning: http://www.duckworksmagazine.com/11/...uick/index.htm Here's the website of the kit: http://eco5.weebly.com/kit.html Looks clever to me, but this kit seems very expensive. What do ya'll think?

id be worried about all those points of entry for water and cracking along where the 'ears' go through the hull. if i were to ever build from a kit, i'd probably go with a stitch and glue one like from CLC, this seems like a lot of extra effort, when stitching together a boat aint that hard

check out the discussion on this boat at Fast unique assembly method ! it discusses a wide variety of potential problems. "Ears through the hull" is a good concept, because although chine stitching is easy, locating interior panels inside a curved hull is problematic. Having pre cut insertion points makes life much easier.
