Oops... ... Gonna assemble the parts afterward in the living room and chuck it out the front door sideways. The daughter will name and paint this spring. That is...when I tell her about it.

Been a while but a bit of progress...Seeing as Spring has sprung a month early around here I moved everything to the garage cum shop and have actually gotten a bit more done. Glue is drying on the perimeter frame of the last side piece and two have the foam installed. Tomorrow I hope to glue in the rest of the foam then paint the insides Friday. Saturday I'll install the cross pieces and get the two tanks 3D. Sunday I plan on putting the ends and bottom on. After that we'll see what happens next week and the weekend...I have plans!

Saturday (14th) I am going to see Jimmy Buffett down in Omaha...first concert I have gone to in a couple of decades. Boy...has the price of tickets rocketed up!

Well...update. Concert was fantastic...I even got hit on at the pre-party. After I recovered this afternoon I finally got things to go 3D...to a local station playing a JB concert on it's "Live" program...pretty cool.

Notice how light the boxes are...still. I have it picked up with my left pinky...I'm right handed.

I managed to get both the boxes with the cross pieces installed. I will slather some paint on the inside to help protect the wood in case any water gets in before I enclose them. I have some hatches that will go in later. I also got the panels cut for a quicky Duck Punt-ish double ender pirogue thingy that I want for a local small lake. I want to try out chine runners on it to see if they would make going to windward a little closer. 'Course I have nothing to compare it to but we'll see. This should get a lot of use because I can throw it on the Blazer...or even keep it there and use it as often as I can.

In case anyone thought I had forgotten this one while working on the PeeroSail... The sun came out after a few sprinkles (and a beer or two) and I broke this build out. I put the transoms on so I guess it is now at Double 3d. I ran a bead of caulking around the foam/plywood joint just to make sure no water could slip in behind the foam. I'll paint it when the forecast and time allows me to.

Hmmm.... It'd be nice to get a bit of feedback but....

Anyhoo...I painted what needed to be painted in the boxes and installed the bottom cross pieces to support the inner walls of the fore and aft boxes and got the bottom glued and screwed on. I only have to flip it and install the butt blocks on the inside. I'll be glassing the seams and corners so any misalignment will be covered. My bow transom refused to stay flat so it is about 3/16" bowed inwards. Once I plane off the excess bottom panel no one will ever notice.

Well the weather looks cold and crappy for the next few days so I'll be doing small stuff...Leeboard, rudder and the like...stuff I can glue up in the basement. I already have the mast, boom and sprit from my other (now defunct) ScoutCanu sailing tri thingy so I am one step ahead there.

Did some work on the ED today along with the PS. I glued and screwed the Butt block on the bottom panels and cleaned up and rounded over the chines and front and rear transom bottoms.

More painting... sealing interior surfaces of the boxes. Nothing picture worthy. Gotta get some sleep today...I've been pulling 20 hour days since Sunday and I am getting burned out.

Finished the taping and I put a coat of epoxy on even though I hadn't planned on it. I got up this afternoon and found some black developing where the plastic had pinholes and the temps got up to over 100 under the plastic sheet. After letting the sun bake it for a while as I taped the transom and side seams I gave it a thorough coating.

And I thought Moths were nocturnal creatures...this is the third one of the day.

Three little moths? There would be 50 if you were doing that here.

Well...by the time my daughter started sanding this morning...many bugs and many tree droppings embedded in the cured epoxy (at least it cured ). She gets to sand and paint...something I hate to do. She got the sides and most of the bottom done in about 3.5 hours. My Bosch RO sander got a work out today. Not much but a couple of pictures of sanded epoxy but it is progress. I was busy with the other boat...see that thread.
