The tyrants running 3rd world pits will always, with their greed, have their hands out for western money. We will either give it to them to squander, or they will take by force(ala Somali pirates) to squander. They will finish off by killing the golden goose. Then they will sink yet again into obscurity.

Interesting discussion this thread. I am looking at two keywords. "supply and demand" and "greed".

What if the the peanut oil becomes a substitute for epoxy? Will everybody be planting peanuts to satisfy the demand.

It is obvious the demand for epoxy and carbon fiber is rising very fast. Sooner or later petroleum based epoxy will become very expensive. Law of supply and demand. And the western countries will pay top money to get priority in getting those products, just like oil.
