    Hi there,

Is anyone here building a D4 sailing dinghy?
Better still, is anyone building one in Auckland, NZ?

    Hi Dominic

No, I have not yet but intend to as I have just downloaded the plans. I am new to boat building and sailing. The dimensions in the section on the Marconi rig are a little blurred. If anyone has the correct mast length sail dimensions etc I would appreciate it, as well as how to build the mast/boom and the sail itself.

    Thx

I have started building a D5 here but as it is still winter and I have to wait for the epoxy to cure enough between each stage, things are moving slowly.

I have been working off and on over the last few weekends in an open-fronted garage so some days have proved to be too cold.

I intend to make this a sprit-rigged sailer for my grandkids to learn in, down at the local lake this summer.

    Cheers,

    Tizme
