Building A Retro Boat!

I'm trying to build from an existing model. a retro boat
I have experience in building interiors in superyachts

My hobbies building and designing of old wooden boats.
I later hope to start my own boat building company.

Welcome to the forum. That appears to be a nice project you have there.

What brand filler are you using, as polyester fillers will not like being on unstabilized (non-encapsulated) wood and will likely absorb moisture and shake out with engine vibration. There's very little use for polyester fillers on wood (even plywood), in the marine environment, unless used as a glazing putty over primer, to fill pin holes.

Im using the cheapest filler i could find,

becouse im going to use the boat just for his lines.
when im done filling, ill (not sure how to say it in english) use polyester sheets?
to get 5mm polyester, and vacuum vineer on it.

 

Plan A: use this boat to build a polyester hull with thick vineer on it.

Or

Plan B: make a polyester contra-mold and vacuum sheets of vineer on the boat what results a wooden runaboat without any frames

Im not sure what i will do

 

One of the last layers of polyester,
tomorrow im going to sand it and finish the contra-mold

After that im going to use bee-wax on it, so that the polyester/fiberglass wont stick to the boat

 

I would think twice about BeesWax, I have had stick out problems with it even in polyester. My own personal preference is a Carnauba Wax the best are 100% or close to that. Much less trouble than BeesWax and essential if you ever use epoxy! A good local resin stockists should be able to advise. That is a big mould and you don't want it to stick.
Also investigate PVA - the blue release fluid which can be sprayed (depending on wax type maybe brushed) on to the surface after waxing.

Next week, I keep myself busy perfecting my mold.

Update!

Deleted the pictures of my brothers project,

I sanded the whole boat again, its almost perfect.

Today I traded my Riva ariston replica ''butt'' the backside for a roll of fiberglass!

Sorry for the delay!

Everything went wrong saterday, i used wax on the boat.

and used the resin and fiberglass.

everything went perfect untill everything started dripping off the boat

wasted 100 euro on materials and still dont have a clue how it happend
