Seriously, it rhymes with Bastille, so, say murr-till. Accent on the second syllable.

Sounds good to me. But unfortunately, it would inevitably be transformed into Myrtle instead. And who wants a boat named after someone's maiden great-aunt?

I also made the mistake of suggesting "After You" to my kid. You know....so he could tell his girlfriends, 'I named it after you.' He really likes that one; what have I raised?

You have a maiden great-aunt named "Blueberry"?"

The bulkheads at each end are the same pine as the sides, but left a little heavier. We fastened them using coated deck nails, with a thorough layer of adhesive/sealant caulk on the edges. Then we made sure everything had at least one layer of paint on it before I left, instead of leaving raw wood to face the weather until I get back from work.

Very nice job, and eleguant lines.
Congratulation to you both.

cool

What a place you have there! there's good stuff lying around everywhere. To me that's like being in heaven. A seat-of- the-pants build like you are doing is something that's been lost in our high tech world. Congrats on taking a step back into boat building sanity.

Hate to say it but here's "After You"...less than 3 weeks done:

Show him this and maybe he won't want to use the name.

If the name is painted on the stern, perhaps it should say, "Before You".

If you paint the name on the bow, you could name it "Behind you".

If you paint it amidships, you could make it, "Next to Stupid".
