| Bitumen Paint Hi can any one please tell me how I can remove bitumen paint from a veneer sheath. What influence will it have on subsequent coatings? I intend coating the boat with an epoxy. Thank you Butch .H

| Thanks Wynand but would the bitumen have afected the veneer as to jeopardise future coatings.

| a hot air gun and steel scrapers will remove it, but there will remain in the wood grain plenty of tar, epoxy over this would not hold

| Hi Landy. At one stage I think some canvas was used but I think this bitumen is recent last 10 or 15 years
