Rather than "Precut, developed marine ply panels, framelessly sutured, strongback supported, jig mounted, taped, filleted, glassed, fully epoxy encapsulated, sheer clamped, transverse & longitudinal bulkhead strengthened, monocoque construction", or PDMPPFSSSJMTFGFEESCT&LBSMC for short.

For many (like me) to build a large boat without the necessary skills involved in traditional boatbuilding, we would still be standing on the shore, if it were not for those farsighted designers and builders who pioneered their methods and ideas, so that we can now build a better boat than we can buy. I'd love to be able to purchase a Vicem 54, but something along the lines of a DE25 will have to suffice for now. http://www.bateau.com/studyplans/DE2...prod=DE25Cabin
Thanks, Pericles, for the acknowledgement.

A.

Here is the last boat we launched, about three weeks ago. It was another Sockeye 45. The one a couple years before that was the Kokanee 38 http://www.devlinboat.com/constructionkokanee38.htm which is one of the "project" boats on boatbuilder.org. Have not added anything to that website for a while and I do need to finish the Kokanee construction pages but just have not made the time.

I like the acronym, but anything more than 2 letters is to much for me

The DE25 is a great looking boat! Great support from bateau & Jacques. We're starting a TW28 in the spring. There's another TW28 going to start near you soon too. http://www.threeseas.co.uk/

Good luck with your project. Keep us posted.

Rick

"It's not the boat "you built" until you've sworn at it, bled on it, sweated over it and cried beside it!" - I just made that up!
