| Beginner I know nothing about wooden boats, but I recently acquired a wooden boat of about 10' - 15' that my grandfather built around 1940...I haven’t seen it yet, but I'm told it is in relatively good shape--whatever that means...I plan to get the boat and restore it beginning this summer...could anyone recommend good books for a beginner? I want to become as familiar as possible with boat building and the restoration process before I begin and need a book that at least mentions, even if not in detail, everything i might need to consider, including required tools, etc, so that I don't miss any important steps along the way...thanks |

| Woodenboat magazine is doing a 7 part series on boat restoration. Currently on part 6. It's an excellent series. www.woodenboat.com |
