Arcangeli Jolly Hello from Hamburg in Germany. Sorry about my bad english, replys please in very simple english, otherwise I ll get in troubles. I ve got an Arcangely Jolly wreck as present. Nearly every pice of wood was changed in the last 6 weeks. Now the bad job is done and the sides made out of plywood will be replaced. I will make the plywood only in 4 mm and glue with epoxy mahagonistripes 20 mm x 8 mm on them. 1....- Must I nail them like the old stripbuilding tecnology or is the Plywod epoxy strip enough ? 2....-Is anybody the happy owner of such a little ship. 3....- Is anybody able so show me pictures of the original Interieur of the arcangely Joll 450 outboard version Best regards erhard

Hi, I m also restoring Arcangly jolly. Mine is only planked with plywood 6mm thick(no mahogany). Frame are basic Picea sitchensis. I m wondering if changing frame into mahogany, and adding mohagony stripe will not add to much weight compared with original design. if you are adding mahogany strip, I would not use epoxy wich will make a "breaking bond", I would use 3m 5200. Regards,

Arcangeli Hello Blackwatch, Now the time was going on and I glued the first mahagony stripes after steaming them with PU Glue. This foam is working well with the wet fresh steamed wood. Epoxy was not possible. Later there will be screws in holes and small wooden plates over the screw.so it will be strong and all screws are hidden. But what I īneed is a picture of the original Interieur in the baot. Seats, sides and so on . On the picture are the first stripes The original was 250 KG, and I will ad 40 KG max. So I think that is not the big difference, but the boat will be much stronger. Good Luck with your restoration. If possible send me some pictures please siegelofgermany@aol.com .

arcangelli Thank you blackwatch, If I ve got the original seats and can put pictures in 10 days in this forum, some part also will be there then. wish you much fun and I hope you ll never loose the power on a bad condition arcangeli projekt. ATTENTION Mine was totally new build in the hole bottom part, where the floor is . attention to big stringers where bottom and the side plates are coming together. These two were looking very good on my boat, but at all!!!!!! points where they where scruwed to the stringers wich cross the boat to the keel they were dryrottet and I had to change them, A boatbuilder gave me advice and I took the chance when the flanks where not installed and testet them buy bending them and they broke very easy at all points.!!! Best regard erhard

Arcangeli Time was going on and the Arcangeli job was also going his way. The bottom parts of the keel, and lot of other wood changed. The plywood changed and on the plywood thin solid mahogany stripes glued and skrued. Now the rest is a pleasure not a job

This is the original interior, for my Jolly 444 ![]() ![]() But what is original, when you look in the original books there you see a totally other interior. ![]() Its just all custom made. But I still do have the original 50HP to 60HP upgraded Mercury Kiekheafer OB ![]() About the inside, I got the original inner sideplates, Im gonna make new panels and use the old ones for the size and so. So if you would like, I could make some pics with the sizes in cm/inches.
