Diluted Hydrochloric acid, put empty crushed & cut up tinned cans to react with the tin part, when reaction (fizzing) stops use tongs to remove remaining metal, then try another piece of empty tinned can... Repeat last step till no further vigorous fizzing, then that liquid is KILLED SPIRIT of mur... acid ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| I bought muratic acid at a drugstore some years ago. I believe that masons use it to clean brickwork also. You may also try home improvement places, like Lowes, Home Depot etc. Pila |

| Ille try the swimming pool supplies. Acid is an electrolite so the acid effect is not what is required as I see it. You are blasting it off by electric current flow taking chromium particles away. I would think therefore that battery acid would do the job. Even salt water?????? |
