shallow water drive for aluminum boat

i have been wanting to build a surface drive for an aluminum jon boat for shallow water using a 550 cc motorcycle engine setup thinking chain drive from final drive to propeller shaft or some variant of that any help would be greatly appreciated thanks gregg

I have just completed testing a paddle wheel adaptation to a LIDO 14 hull. It works rather poorly. But my goal was to have an extreme shallow draft application. I was drawing about 8" total.

I have several conclusions to offer that still makes this a good propulsion method. Even doable by hand/foot power without any motor necessary.
