Transom Seal Replacement I have a Volvo-Penta 5.0 FL (1995) with a serious transom seal leak. The drive is an SX. Is it possible to change this seal without removal of the motor and/or drive? Seems impossible. Any help would be appreciated. What is the best way to accomplish this? Thanks. ![]()

The best way to start is to get an SX service & repair manual and see if you still want to attempt this job after reading it. Seloc and Clymer both have manuals for the SX drive. You can get them at any marine supply house or from Boatfix.com. Good luck!

You have to yank the drive on an SX. Are you sure it's the transom seal?
