| Transom Bracket on 1986 IMP 200 Sirs: I'm trying to buy a 1986 IMP Freedom stern drive and the seller claims the boat has a factory installed Transom Bracket. I didn't see one. Don't these old IMPs have hydrolic movement brackets on the prop section of the motor - - as opposed to an actual transom bracket? Is this transom bracket worth an additional $1,500 to the NADA book value? Thanks for your assistance with this question. |

| If by "transom bracket" he's referring to the assembly that mounts the sterndrive to the transom, well, this is an integral part of the drive unit and certainly not an add-on. Exactly what your seller means by the term "transom bracket" is unclear, since we know we're dealing with a sterndrive (and not an outboard).
