| Mercruiser 3.0 Alpha I have a Bertram 25 with twin Mercruiser 3.0's (MCM 140 - circa 1985). A small split in the starboard shifter cable boot caused her to partially sink. The engines are fine, have been flushed, run to temp, etc. Because there was water on the inside of the transom, I'm being told that both sides been a full bellows job including u-joint and gimble bearing. We have decided to take this opportunity to repower with a large single V8 so I am looking to sell the current iron. I'm trying to get a ball park idea for a fair price for each package (propellor - gauges). My current thought is $1500 per side. Does this seem reasonable? My location is southern Ontario (if that matters from a market perspective.) Thoughts? Ian. |
